Stacked Log Wall Construction
Next NEXT PAGE:
Drying, Settling, and Overscribing...

A log home with stacked log walls, also referred to as a full-log home, features main floor exterior walls entirely of hand crafted full-length logs stacked up to the level of the upper floor. We employ many careful details and components to ensure these walls remain air-tight throughout the natural seasoning and settling process.

The shell forms a complete free-standing structure, which we pre-build in our yard to ensure every piece fits perfectly. It is then dis-assembled and shipped to your site, where our representative supervises the re-erection which typically only takes a few days.

The Log Shell for a full log home includes:
  • Full height log walls
  • Log posts
  • Upper floor log beams and joists
  • Roof log beams and purlins
  • Log stairways and railings
